Upgraded legit Win 8 to Win 10, all good, then clean install of Win 10 on SSD and it self activated, all good again.
Now, a week or so later I've got the watermark telling me to activate Windows.
The following shots illustrate:

Well that's really weird.
Are you signed in via a Microsoft account?
Suggest you connect to MS Support via the Windows 10 built-in "Contact Support" app. Explain to them what's happened and I'm pretty sure they'll just activate there and then.

Thanks Jim
I went to the store where it said 'Sorry we couldn't activate you' (think robots lol)
Then I clicked 'try again', now it's activated.
And yes, connected using my MS account.

Weirder and weirder.
I wonder what caused the de-activation, seems strange that it should be activated for a full week and then de-activate out of the blue like that.
Hopefully, whatever the cause, it will not repeat. 🙂

It could be related to a message asking me to verify my identity, which I've received numerous times over the last few days, who knows?
