Hi Mindblower,
I just did a quick check and I'm going to say a tentative "No". I will ask Dave and if I'm wrong, I'll get back to you.
What did you want changed?

Hello Richard and Marc. It's frustrating to know one can EDIT ones post in the Forum, and not be able to do so in the Blog. Typos would be the number one reason, but I recently submitted a reference link which does not work. I hope there is a way, Mindblower!

Hi Mindblower,
I will be speaking to Dave this evening and I will talk to him about a possible solution.
In the mean time, I will be happy to make the link change for you,
Richard

Comments can't be edited by the user. It's a different system/software than the forum and it works differently. Comments are like posts and unless a user has a specific permission they can't edit posts.
The forum is a more fluid operation, which rides on top of the base system, and isn't constrained by the permissions of the base system.
The easiest solution would be to reply to your own comment and say, "Hey, I got the link wrong. Here's the right one!"

what we need is an edit feature to the comments we make on wp blogs so we can erase or edit as necessary after hastily pressing submit. i’ve sent a feedback before but no follow-up from the wp team.

Hi slide9595,
This has to do with permissions. I will look into it for you. In the meantime, which comment did you want to be edited?

Blog owners are in full control of the comments on their blogs, the best way to edit or delete a comment is by contacting the owner of the said blog.
