One day, I went to use some documents and found they have all been locked! I didn't do this and I can't find out how to unlock them to use. I have opened them in Works but rather use Word. I just want to know what happened and to fix problem...

You do not specify which version of MS Word you are using, but I will take a stab at this. I am assuming that by "locked" you mean the document has been protected and you cannot make changes to it. As long as the document is not password protected, you can click on Format | Unprotect. If it has indeed been password protected, then you will need the password to unprotect it.
