I have forms that I need to make for my optometry office. What I need to do is draw lines on an existing word document so that as the forms are filled out (on paper) that it keeps the information neat. I can draw a single line, but I would like to know if there is a way to duplicate the lines from top to bottom with the proper and equal spacing. Then once drawn can you clean up the edges where the lines went too far or short or remove portions of those lines?
I'm not sure if I understand you correctly or not but if you want lines of equal length then draw one and check that it is right then just copy and paste as desired.

Simply use a tab leader. It is quick, painless and easy. Let me know which version of Word you are using and I will give you step-by-step instructions.
