What I would really like to find is a distro that automatically searches for my wireless network and all I need to do is enter my security key. I'm running LXLE Desktop at the moment and it does just what I need to connect to my network, but I would like a distro with more usability and options. One that has more bells and whistles to work with. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

WIFI has always presented a problem in Linux Claw and still does, although perhaps to a lesser extent. I installed the latest version of Mint recently and, for the life of me, couldn't get the wifi working.

Not 100% sure but I think it's perhaps because of the massive range of different routers, network cards and adapters that need to be supported plus lack of compatible drivers, or resources, or both.

Just because wifi in a certain distro works for someone else doesn't necessarily mean it will definitely work for you. You may have to just go through a process of trial and error mate.

Hey Jim. The LXLE Desktop I'm running, connected to my WIFI instantly, all I needed to do was enter my security key, and that's it. I really like the distro but options seem to be limited when it comes to software and general computing. I was just looking for something more on the Mint, Ubuntu, Fedora type of distro,, but it seems like this one may be it. Thanks Jim.

LXLE is based on Ubuntu so you should be able to add any software that runs on Ubuntu directly from the repo.

Thanks Dave, I'll give a try.
