I joined the site to get advice on how to fix my computers cup holder I've been tinkering around with hardware for a couple of years, going back to school to get another degree in ECET. I love this site because it's a lot of good info/advice from a lot of good people.

Ray, if your cupholder breaks off, that's ok. Most modern computers come with two. Just look for the other one.
Alternatively, you can just use the top of your machine. Don't worry about spills, that's what the fans are for.
Welcome to the board.

Hi Ray - Welcome aboard...great to have you here mate. BTW: It is always better to buy a cupholder as a stand alone extra rather than built in to the machine...that way, if the cupholder breaks you still have a fully operational computer and the damaged cupholder can be replaced easily and cheaply.
