Hey all,
I used to be very active in computer forums (PCWorld, Cnet, stuff like that) but I got out of it due to people in them that flame each other and are generally not very nice and make the forum life annoying. I was told by a good friend that this was a good new forum and that I should give forums another chance, at least this one, and from what I've read so far it seems like a nice little community here...
I've been addicted to tinkering with my own computers for about 3 years, I'm 18 and a university student. I started off by getting broken computers off people, and taking them from the side of the road where people leave them out for garbage, and I would fix them up and run them. I built myself a machine about 2 years ago, a fully custom machine, and then about a month ago bought a new one, Intel Quad Core Q6600, 4GB RAM, 640GB HD, NVIDIA 8400 512MB, and Vista Home Premium 64bit.
I think that's enough for now, hope to be of use to people here!
Matt
Matt,
Very glad to have you here! I can assure you flaming will be kept to a minimum. I really want this to be a nice comfortable place for everyone to come and enjoy the company of others with similar interests. The community aspect is what I enjoy the most! Heck, Zig and Ozbloke seem to be guys I like to sit down and have a beer with!
Anyway, welcome!

We'll have to meet in Muncie one evening and have a beer or two![/quote:wcmpq59f]
Funny you should mention Muncie as I am running down there in the next week to (hopefully) buy a new used car. My wife wrecked her van in July and I've given up hope of trying to fix it. So now I get to replace it. Yay!
