Hi everyone, happy to have joined this forum as I have a wealth of computer knowledge gleaned from over twenty years experience of computer use. Over these years I have picked up a wealth of information from forums similar to this so I am sure I will be contributing quite often as more and more users join, looking forward to it.

Cheers

Yay! and welcome!

dust a seat off and take one. Umm...I'm not sure what that means though.

Hi all:

Very interested to see how this forum turns out. Hoping for the best. I am retired, but have my own computer repair business to keep me busy. I am counting on learning from others on the forum, and maybe I will be able to offer some advice as well.

As you can see, I'm a proud Canadian, since there is no such thing. Here you're always asked what kind of Canadian are you, like where are you from. If I truly want to yank their chain, I ask just how far back do you want me to go? I enjoy teasing, joking, and using sarcasm when needed - but only to those who truly deserve it.

As for knowledge with computers and software, I prefer to say I know a little bit (20 years or so), since there is way too much for anything to really know. I'm in one of my funny modes, so I'll cut it short and allow others to post, Mindblower!

Hi Guys and Gals - Greetings from upsidedownland.....I have owned a computer of one kind or another for over 30 years, no formal training but some experience. Looking forward to the interaction here...if I happen to refer to anyone as 'mate' please don't take offense, it is meant in the nicest way.

cheers.....JIM

I'm an amateur computer user who dabbled with them in college and then found myself working on them for a living.

Ummm...nowhere near retirement, but instead spend my days fixing people's technology problems, then heading home to do the same thing. Part of the problem with having a hobby turn into a career is that you tend not to have a hobby anymore. Le sigh.

I'm well versed in Linux, Windows, Mac (where is the Mac category? It is a computer....) and all sorts of nifty other doo-dads. I'm here to help people mostly (cuz I like to help where I can) but also to hook up with other computer people. Call it networking, wirelessly! Ha!

OK, really. I'm done now.
