I received an email from Google stating that one of my website had probably been hacked. Yep, sure enough it was.
I removed the offending files (porn) and changed to a very difficult to hack password.
Since fixed the problem I have submitted the site for review as per Google instruction.
I still get 2-3 emails per day from "G" stating the same facts ?????
Is this Google just being slow to respond after all I have the "MOST" important site on the Web !!!

I can't say I've had much experience with Google and their 'you've been hacked' messages.

What I've seen seems to indicate that they take care of it fairly quickly. Is it possible you didn't get rid of all the intrusions? How are your file permissions? Properly locked down? No strange files you didn't put there?

All of the hacked files were in a new/unauthorized folder. I deleted the folder and changed the password. No new files have appeared.
The notice is for the same file which I deleted. This is a small website that's easy to monitor.
Thanks

I don't want to scare you, but you [i:21verej6]REALLY[/i:21verej6] need to look at every single file on your site! They often change code in pages to redirect visitors or attempt to use browser exploits so you really need to examine the coding of every single page.

If you know what you're doing you can open them in your editor and give them a once over. If you don't understand html/javascript/redirects/iframes your best bet would be to use a comparing program like WinMerge to find differences between the current files and your backups.

If you need some help you can zip your site up (without images) and send it to me as an email attachment.

Assuming you've done all that and you are absolutely sure the site is clean you'll have to be patient. Google is never in any hurry to unlist and in most cases any "pr" ranking is lost. Do you know about Google's Webmaster Tools? If so you can create a new sitemap and submit it. No guarantee, but it can't hurt and may help you get relisted.

Luckily it was a small website. All files checked and repaired if necessary. Password changed.
Thanks all for the help.
