I'm having the strangest thing happen with my computer (Windows 7) or browser (Firefox 27.0) ... When I click a link to open a new website (I don't like TABS and don't use them), the new page opens then it immediately goes back to the previous page! The new page is still 'open' but I have to click it to view it. What is causing this? The only thing I've found that stops this action is when the newly opened page begins to load I click on it somewhere. Then it stays open for me to view it. ODD.
This doesn't happen with my Nexus tablet.
Any ideas?
Thanks as always!

UPDATE: Anyone here?
Hi Marci - Sorry nobody has replied here sooner mate, I've been away on a break myself (well earned too I might add )
I'm using Firefox 27 in Windows 7 and I changed my settings around but couldn't replicate your issue. A lot of these types of issues can be caused by add-ons, please try running Firefox in no add-on mode: click Help and then select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
If the issue disappears we then know it is being caused by one of your add-ons.
Cheers... Jim
Do I have to go through all my add-ons one at a time to find the bad guy?
I'm afraid so Marci. Disable all of them. Then start re-enabling one at a time until you find the culprit.
how do I open Firefox with add-ons ENABLED again
Just close the browser and next time you run Firefox it should be back with all add-ons enabled again.
Cheers... Jim
Hi Jim,
Just an update. I closed the browser as you and others suggested but it did NOT revert the add-ons back on.
SO I removed all the add-ons and added them back one at a time, then disabled each one at a time & closed Firefox and re-opened it for each one.
I only have six add-ons and went through them all. Firefox is still losing focus (I know how it feels!) and flipping back to previous pages. I don't like using TABs but maybe trying that would stop this? Just a thought. At any rate, I'll keep fiddling with it.
Thanks again 'mate' for all your help!
Marci
