Okay folks, time for a wake up (slap in the face).
Private or confidential phone numbers were and are always excluded from searches. Users pay for this privilege.
Cell phones are NOT land lines, thus have no real fixed location (not talking about GPS tracking you see on TV). Depending on the provider, they may or may not be listed and any information found may be general (location wise).
With Caller ID, you also have Call Blocking, which gives the listed user the ability to NOT be displayed.
There are many different search engines which can take a Name, Address, or Phone Number and supply you with Reverse Information.
This is nothing new. In the past one used books. The INTERNET provides lighting fast access. Sorry, forgot to mention, the users brain needs to be engaged (turned on) for this to take place, Mindblower!

Ah, that's what I did wrong.
95% of the people who call me anymore use cell phones, so doing a lookup is pretty useless. I don't subscribe to private / blocking but no where on the Internet is my number linked to my name (yet).
~shrug~
Well Ziggie, I suspect it's just a matter of (short) time before some search engine takes on the task of gathering cell phone numbers and matching 'em with the carriers information. (I can see the handwriting on the wall)
With the total stupidly of (land line) phone companies charging super high costs when people move (even within the same building), the idea to opt for a cell phone makes excellent sense. Given the incentive of free local evening calls, bundled with voice mail, caller Id, ..., you get the point.
But for those who make extensive use of the Internet (like myself), a land line is a must.
But I found an excellent free way of having my real identity (though listed), to be unlisted (by pure accident). All one needs do is have the fist letter of ones surname entered incorrectly. (i.e. Joe Franks can become Joe Pranks)
Different strokes for us all, Mindblower!
