Hi Dave tried to register from my work laptop which uses a 3G dongle from a very large UK mobile operator and I was blocked by spamhaus!
Not to worry I'm here now and what a useful place, glad I looked!

Thanks, Conrad!
Sorry about the block. We get hit pretty hard with spam and I've had to implement some very draconian measures to keep it to a manageable level!

I quite understand, like the topics unread icons, very striking and obvious! I might just have to have those
Why the BB code editor rather than tinymce?

We migrated from PHPBB, which used BBCode, so I thought it would be best for the members. I'm not opposed to Tiny - though it is a much larger plugin, so I assume it may be more resourse hungry.

Thought that might be the case. I'm perfectly happy with either but for the luddites on our proper forum tinymce is probably best. They've had it for the last 18 months anyway.
