If you've been using ClearCloud DNS for your DNS lookups (A service of GFI/Sunbelt) you need to be aware they are discontinuing service on September 1st. If you do not change your DNS settings before that date you will not be able to access the internet!
My suggestion, at this time, is to change to Google's DNS service if you are in the USA. The primary DNS setting is 8.8.8.8 and the secondary DNS is 8.8.4.4 If you are outside the US you may want to try OpenDNS (primary 208.67.222.222/secondary 208.67.220.220 or primary 208.67.222.220/secondary 208.67.220.222) or look into using your ISP's DNS server.
[quote="ozbloke":221c66yb]Dave, was there any reason given for the discontinuation of the ClearCloud service??[/quote:221c66yb]
According to Alex Eckelberry (former CEO of Sunbelt and now general manager of GFI's security division) it was his personal decision, along with terminating Sunbelt Personal Firewall and CounterSpy - he has made several posts in the Wilders Security Forum.
The reason given is more or less the same for terminating all the above:
