Battery replacement. One has to take nine screws out from the back, turn PC over and pop off "very gently" the keyboard and unhook the ribbon connectors. Gently remove and replace the battery and reconnect the ribbon connectors, very gently snap the keyboard back in place and install the nine screws. Keep screws in order for they are of different lengths.
Have no idea why anyone would engineer and build a laptop with a internal battery. One more thing I can add to my "do not like laptops list.
But it is fixed and running W8.1.
