Not is this that day, but also the dreaded virus day (end of your computer world).
Okay, how many of you just refused to turn the computer ON till April second, hoping all would over (as far as the bad stuff goes) and you'd be able to return to some form of normal?????
If you're one of these, then good for you. You enjoy playing it safe, 'cause it's only one less computer day out of a year, and better safe than sorry, right???
Oh silly you! This is being paranoid to the point that it rules your life. S*it happens. Life goes on. Remember the big scare when 1999 turned into 2000? Computer life did not grind down, not for a second. There are too many individuals who help spread mistruth, which others take as gospel.
Remember. You started to die the second you were born, and you're still alive (sort off - believe brain dead does not qualify).
So relax. A healthy computer is a $^*$%^ c o m p % t $ r, Mindblower!
(got ya)

Conflictor is/was basically a non event. Anyone who keeps patches up to date, runs a good security program like Eset, and pays attention to what they do has nothing to little to worry about.
I had to laugh at all the mass media attention this has received in the last day or two. The funny part is it has been propagating since November. Why didn't they mention it then instead of waiting to the last second?
LOL ......Hey MB - Had my machine switched on all day yesterday and guess what happened......................absolutely nothing!!! Am I still safe today, seeing it is now 2nd April here?
Brain dead doesn't qualify???.....Oh, b*ggar!!
A mate of mine was convinced that when the clock ticked passed midnight into the new millennium; all computers would no longer function (including those in motor vehicles), all planes in the air would crash and those on the ground would be unable to fly...in short, the world as we knew it would come to a crashing halt.......go figure!!!!
Anyhoo, hope and trust all you guys residing in the wrong half of the world maintain a safe and well computer...i.e. of course, providing you had one such animal to start off with.
cheers.....JIM (a fool all the time).
I had to work on January 1, 2000, at a major corporation to deal with the inevitable conflagration. I played solitaire and hearts online all day...
I worked my butt off last Tuesday (March 31) fielding calls from all of the people who wanted to know what they could do about Conficker.
So I had some fun.
I gave everyone who called a ten-point checklist to run on *every* workstation in their office, so they could be ABSOLUTELY SURE they weren't infected. They all did it and called me back to tell me they were OK...I'm sooooo evil!
