This is a question many ask when it comes to software. What is the Best? You might be surprised to find that the answer is always subjective. WHAT? It seems experts (I call them so-called experts) in the field cannot agree on this topic either (or share the glory with their peers on a yearly basics). Please do not take my word on this either, as I too share (my opinion based on my personal experience) as do almost all others (writers who publish their findings as well on their blogs, and magazines).

So, from my personal experience, when expecting to be enlightened and be given the truth, one must be prepared to receive an opinion, which is often sugar coated to represent the truth. The more articles you read, the more insight you receive and the more confused you can get.

So is there any truth as to who is the best? The reply is in the form of a question, "the best in what and compared to who?"

There are many things to consider and I will attempt to list a few. Is the product doing one job or several? Do I want or need these features? Will they play nice with others? And the list continues.

Earlier this year I won a contest for a software called Heimdal Security. Later this year, this company added new improved features. To see for yourselves just type (or paste the following into your browser and select from the supplied links. "Anti Malware Solution of the Year"

Welcome back. Now the link below shows you a Who's who (like the Academy awards). Before you get too excited, you have to look at who and by whom they were selected, and don't be shocked if you never heard about many of them. Enjoy the link.

Hope you can see how a simple question can become so complicated. My personal favourites are Kaspersky Internet Suites along with Malwarebytes Premium (which work/play well together) and yes sorry (they are not the free versions), since it is my opinion that for proper protection, not just to remove infection, you need to block (prevent any infection from infecting you in the first place), Mindblower!
