Hi folks
My onedrive was working perfectly until recently when I got the following error message: "There was a problem connecting to onedrive. Check your internet connection and then try again. (error 0x8004de40)" and sometimes the 40 at the end becomes 80. Have searched the web for help but have been unsuccessful to date. Using Windows 10 version 2004 (OS Build 19041.329). Can you help please? Thanks so much.
Regards
Gerald

I've seen a lot of complaints about how the Windows 10 2004 update has hosed OneDrive.
If I was having this problem, I'd probably re-install OneDrive as a first effort to maybe "fix" this problem.

You can also search the internet for those error messages to see the specifics.

OneDrive failed for me yesterday but is working fine today. Who knows what's going on...
I haven't updated to 2004 yet and don't plan to for quite some time.

Thanks Richard. Have searched the internet and tried some of the suggestions but nothing has worked. Will try and reinstall onedrive and see what happens. If you happen to have a brainwave as to what the solution might be please let me know.

I haven't experienced brainwaves for many years now. However, if I stumble upon something, I will certainly let you know.

You always have the option of reverting to your previous version of Windows 10. At least until they get all the bugs shaken out.

@grodgers42... Have you tried accessing One Drive online with you MS account? https://onedrive.live.com/about/en-us/signin/. You will have to have a Microsoft Account, the MS guru's are
really pushing this with the latest feature update, it seam's like everything is moving to the cloud.
