Listed under are the new/different freeware products I have tripped over recently. Hope you find some them useful:

[b:346wz8ni]Easeus Todo Backup[/b:346wz8ni] - Pretty excited about this one. Create and restore entire system images among other features; Backup the whole disk including the operating system and all data to an image file (easy to restore or migrate to other disks). Three levels of compression (zip). Create bootable CD for disaster recovery.
It's rare to find these types of products released as freeware (Macrium Reflect comes to mind) so I would expect this to be well received, especially coming from the excellent Easeus range of products.

[b:346wz8ni]Auslogics Duplicate File Finder[/b:346wz8ni] - Okay, I know there are lots of these around but this one [i:346wz8ni]is[/i:346wz8ni] from Auslogics who do have a reputation for producing pretty good products. This from the site: [i:346wz8ni]"Auslogics Duplicate File Finder has the MD5 search engine which allows you to find duplicate files by content, regardless other match criteria. It would be helpful, for example, when two identical mp3 tracks or video files have different names." [/i:346wz8ni]

[b:346wz8ni]PrivateFirewall [/b:346wz8ni]- I mentioned this one in a separate post but it is well worth re-iterating. PrivateFirewall is a very well respected personal firewall from 'PrivacyWare' and used to cost around $20.00. It is now free for anyone to download and use. It's compatible with Windows 7 too.

[b:346wz8ni]Open Contacts[/b:346wz8ni] - Not for everyone but very useful if you have the need. This from the site; [i:346wz8ni]"Open Contacts is an advanced address book program for managing contact info of individuals and organizations with relationships. Distributed as freeware, the program was designed for people who need more beyond oridinary address book programs in order to improve dynamic interactions with contacts. In addition, with SyncML for Open Contacts and a Funambol server, you may synchronize contact info with smart phone, PDA and Web address books etc."[/i:346wz8ni]
