You should all know by now how I feel about MailWasher; it is [i:3o20uv60]the[/i:3o20uv60] best anti-spam software available and (IMO) an absolute 'must have'. But MailWasher is so much more than just a spam filter, it is a complete email management system.

Unlike most other spam filtering software which decide how to deal with unwanted emails only[i:3o20uv60] after[/i:3o20uv60] they have already been downloaded to your computer, MailWasher actually deletes any spam and unwanted emails on the server so they never get anywhere near your email client.

MailWasher cleverly and systematically identifies spam for automatic deletion but ultimately it is you, the user, who is in charge. That's what I love so much about MailWasher, it provides full control over exactly which emails to download and view. With pertinent information such as; sender's name, subject line and size (including attachments) it is easy to spot and deal with any unwanted emails.

The free version of MailWasher is so popular it has become one of the most downloaded applications available. The Pro version is even better; including extra features such as previews and support for multiple email addresses. You know my predilection for freeware, MailWasher Pro is one of the very few commercial products I have ever deemed worthy of purchasing.

Now the big news!! Firetrust, the developer of MailWasher have recently introduced LIFETIME licenses for the Pro version. No more annual renewal fees, just a single one off payment secures a lifetime of MailWasher use!![/size:3o20uv60]
[quote:3o20uv60]Includes all new versions, updates, real-time spam blocking and customer support. License good for 2 computers.[/size:3o20uv60].[/quote:3o20uv60]

The lifetime licenses cost $62.39usd and an upgrade for existing users is even less expensive (17% discount!). This is a great deal; consider if you use MailWasher for just 10 years, the cost would be a mere $6.00 per annum or just 12cents per week........amazing value!!

You can purchase your lifetime MailWasher Pro license by visiting this page: https://secure.firetrust.com/cart/items/add/mw2010-1-0

Hi, Below you can find my e-mail exchange with Firetrust about their "Free Lifetime Upgrades" . Perhaps you might be interested! May I suggest that you read the mails in chronological order (from the bottom up: first the green message (2002), then the red ( July 13th,2011+ their reply) and my reply to Firetrust from today (7/14/2011) in blue.

Hi Jeremy,

Quote "this is a all new version and NOT a free upgrade"

Allow me to say that I'm highly disappointed by this reply: "Oh no...It's not an upgrade any more. No no, it's a totally new software... It's not Mailwasher Pro 7 or 8, but the all new 2010 and 2011 new software"
You, I, and Mr Bolton know very well that this is b***th! It's sad to see that "the free lifetime upgrades" promised to me were idle words indeed.

Perhaps, I didn't pay much way back in 2002, but I made a lot of publicity for Mailwasher Pro with friends, business colleagues and on internet fora. I'm sure you got at least a dozen customers because of me!
Mailwasher Pro 6 does everything I need, so I'm certainly NOT going to pay 10USD for an other round of free lifetime? upgrades (Or would that be until you decide to rename your program once again?) It's not a money matter, it's about the principle of keeping promises!

Anyway, I suppose I was naive when I thought Mr Bolton was going to keep his promise made to me back in 2002. Believe me, you won't get any new customers from my side... On the contrary!

It would be nice if you could forward this to Mr Bolton himself. I wonder what he would have to say about this!

A disappointed ex-customer,

Hi (name removed),
Thanks for your email.
Yes, sorry about that, it should have read that this is a all new version and NOT a free upgrade, we are in the process of changing it now.

Usually the program is USD$30, then USD$20 per year after this.

However, you can purchase for USD$10 from here for your trouble:

https://secure.firetrust.com/cart/items ... USD10TOTAL

Or yes, just stick with Mailwasher Pro 6.

Any problems/questions, please ask.

Hi,

I'm using Mailwasher since many, many years. I think the pro version didn't even exist when I started using it, but at that time Mr Bolton requested happy users to send a voluntary financial contribution (Which I did) and was promised free lifetime upgrades in return. (See the original e-mail below, which was sent to my old e-mailaddress in 2002)

I'm still using Mailwasher Pro (v6.1) at this time and very happy with it.
After reading your e-mail about Mailwasher Pro 2011, I'm now ready to try version 2011, but before installing it, I just wanted to make sure that I will still get a free registration key for it! (I voluntarely contributed many moons ago, so I hope the "free lifetime upgrades" were no idle words.)

Please send your reply (and new registration key) to my new e-mail
(address removed) which I'm now registered with.

Best regards,

Hi Erasmus

Nick from Mailwasher here. I just wanted to put our point of view across. We've had people who sent in a donation about 10 years ago for our free version of Mailwasher. Then we released the Pro version and gave everyone a free upgrade to that and have given free upgrades to the Pro version for the last 10 years. So in effect these people including you have always had the Pro version for free.

Since version 6.54 of the initial Pro version is still available, we
