Am receiving this upgrade notice, but cannot find any reviews? No mention of what is new. What I find odd is the consent boxes. Do not remember seeing them before. Is anyone having a similar experience, Mindblower!

Hi MB,

The latest version I am aware of is 6.2.0 (not 6.02).

The only thing I noticed in the latest version was that a previously hard-to-scan NVME SSD will now scan correctly.

I also think a toggle was added to the TRIM option within settings.

I have had no problems with this upgrade. Just pay attention to the version number.

Richard

Thank you Richard. My main concern with this new update were the 2 new consent boxes that after reading the content, decided not to upgrade. I find not mention, thus my thirst for knowledge. Believe many upgrades just help support the newer ssd's, Mindblower!

I must admit that I did not read those EULAs. My bad, I guess.
What did you see that you didn't like?

Thanks, MB!

The first image shows that they collect hardware information. That doesn't bother me at all.

The last image says you have to agree with their privacy policy. I don't know what that is because I never read that stuff. Anybody who is connected to the internet already has their information "out there" so one more doesn't bother me at all.

If this type of info gathering bothers you, you can always block outbound communication by using your firewall. Bear in mind that some programs need outbound communication to function properly. I don't think SM would be one of them but you never know.

Yes Richard, we freely consent to give information about our activity too often without blinking an eye. Yet we also have ability to refuse or decline. This was something that I found unnerving - must accept to install. Then you were given a link to a site where you could see what information was being collected, but the page was not available. This is what prompted me to seek more information on the upgrade, Mindblower!
