Hi Jim,
Don't know of a program that automatically opens a PDF in Word, but there are plenty of PDF to Word converters out there.
I personally use and can recommend "iSkysoft PDF Editor", but that is a pay-for program that I was lucky enough to pick up free from one of the "free for 24 hours" sites. If you watch out, it is bound to crop up again.
Meanwhile try this site and try the recommendations: http://www.techsupportalert.com/search/google/PDF%20to%20Word?query=PDF%20to%20Word&cx=partner-pub-4337260311855789%3A5365410881&cof=FORID%3A10&sitesearch=&safe=high
Hope this helps!
