Welcome to the forum, glad to have you here!

Open a new tab and type about:config into the address bar. Push the Enter key. A warning page saying you will Void the Warranty will appear. Click Continue, there isn't any warranty to begin with!

This will open the super secret firefox settings. Ohhhh. Ahhhhh. Contain your excitement, if you can, and type "download" (without quotes) in the filter box at the top. This will filter the list so you only see entries related to the term download. Look for "browser.download.manager.showAlertInterval" in the left hand column. This is the setting that controls the popup. Double click the entry and a small window will open with the number 2000 in it. You can change this to anything you want. The setting is in milliseconds, so 1000=1sec 2000=2sec, etc. If you don't want the popup to appear at all change it to 0 and click OK.

That's it. A few words of caution: Don't go changing settings in this screen willy nilly, or you will have a browser that won't work well, if at all. Items that you have changed will show as bold, which is kind of cool.

Hope that helps!

I d/l tons of things for doing graphic arts. And when multi tasking other tabs the d/l popup would come up and block juva script blocker and it would be a pain. and a few other things but its fixed now!

And thanks for the wellcome.

Not a problem Dave. I can't be right all the time. I was in the right neighborhood, but the wrong house.

I think I was looking at one thing and typing another. I've got to watch that, don't want to accidentally tell someone to format their drive!
