I feel we can all doff our hats to Ian for his intelligent approach to computing. The Easeus freebie was very kind of him.
Recently, Giveaway Of The Day came up with the nearly the same deal, but the software was wrapped in one of their "phone-home-to-see-what-time-it-is" thingies, of course. There was the usual discussion about GOTD on alt.comp.freeware, albeit a pointless one, imo. The fact is, Easeus has an always-free version of Partition Master that has nearly all the bells and whistles of the Pro version. You might want to look it over. http://www.partition-tool.com/.....rsonal.htm
There's a link to a nice little freeware called "ToDo Backup" on that page as well.

Hey Ron - Couldn't agree more with your comment about Ian (Gizmo) Richards....I do miss his new letters. I wish he hadn't gone to Windows Secrets, their news letters are rubbish...IMO that is.
I do [i:3ab9o3k0]not[/i:3ab9o3k0] like the GAOTD site and it's offers. Their freebies seem to invariably come with one limitation or another, if I really want something I would rather pay for it and have a fully operational, no limitations copy. All the giveaways I post here are full unlimited versions, you will never find a link to anything from GAOTD posted by me.
I have been using the free version of Easeus Partition Master for some time, it is a great product for free. I just replaced it with this free Pro version. The biggest plus in the Pro is the ability to create a bootable CD/DVD, other than that (and 64bit support) there is not a lot of difference.
Ron, I posted about the new free Todo Backup software here nearly six weeks ago....I do wish you would try and keep up!!!

Seriously mate, it does sound good....there is not much good free imaging software around (Macrium Reflect comes to mind), most of the other freebies are either too complicated, too limited or just not good enough. Unfortunately, I do not know enough about Todo Backup yet to make any strong recommendations (I haven't actually tested it). If you have any experience with it please let us know.
cheers.....JIM
