We often look for the cheapest and hope it is also the best software on the planet for our needs. For those like me, who believe it better to pay for than use only free software, allow me to focus on a product we all complain way too much about, our operating system.

Most software we purchase on the market these days is for a limited time, mostly one year. Almost gone are the days you can purchase software and rest assured it is good for life (not yours), but for a longer time.

Our operating system comes with plenty of features. It is constantly being patched, at not added cost (and flaws / bugs are common to all software). Yet we nickle and dime (complain) about this and that all the time. We expect - no demand perfection, all the time. Does this sound like we are spoiled?

Once again, look at the cost and what you get. There are software products out there where you pay a yearly subscription, and after a few years, you have shelled out more than for that operating system, which does a fraction of what our operating system offers us.

Yes I am aware there alternatives, free operating systems, free almost everything, and since it is free, we do not seem to complain too much, since it is free. But, almost everything in
life which we purchase has some problem or short life span. Time to stop all our bellyaching and enjoy what we have, Mindblower! 🙂
