Require some expert advice on this topic. Often when converting from MKV to MP4, the file size shrinks. Even when converting from MP4 to MP4, the file size can also shrink, but not continue to shrink. Yet the quality of the video remains the same as far as I can see. The question: can a shrink file be expanded to its original state (and how), Mindblower!
"For the needy, not the greedy"
Thank you, Richard. Years ago I stumbled across a program which was able to increase the video resolution (beyond 1920*1080). This radically increased the file size, and as I wanted the opposite removed from my collection. Just an afterthought as I do sometimes alter some videos to full screen size, thus the size increases, Mindblower!

Since the file size increases, you know that means data is being added to it. The question is, "What data?"
Your computer makes its best guess as to what colors and properties should be added based on the contents of neighboring pixels. This is a method called interpolation.
This is all guesswork and will never equal the quality of the original.
Thank you so much Richard for giving those suggestions. I want to convert MKV to MP4 and that is why I came here to read your suggestion. I will keep those things in my mind. But for now, I want to write an essay and I have also found https://writinguniverse.com/free-essay-examples/war/ website through which I am gonna take help to complete my essay assignment and after completing it, I will learn more about how to convert MKV to MP4.
