Ashampoo have released an older, full version of their Photo Optimizer for free. This version (1.2) was first released in November, 2007...the software is now up to version 3.03 released in Jauary, 2009 and costs $15.00us ($23.99au). The free version will run on Win2K, XP and Vista which is particularly good news for Win2K users as this support is no longer available in the later versions.
As the name suggests, the software offers a fully automatic one click photo optimization solution, supports batch processing (full folders) and retains the originals as back-up....just in case you are not happy the results!
I don't know about you but for a purely amateur photographer like myself this type of software is a boon.
