AnyBizSoft is giving away free licenses (not for commercial use) to their PDF to Word Converter until March 1, 2010. This is an older version that doesn't support tables conversion. They offer a discount on the latest 3.0 version that has that capability. You download the software at the site, and register for the license key. They send it to your email address. I checked with two different addresses, and the serial is the same.

A good PDF to Word converter is hard to find. This software is one of the best I know about in this price range, and for the rest of February, it's free!

Actually Ron this software is now free [b:2op2gmzo][i:2op2gmzo]forever[/i:2op2gmzo][/b:2op2gmzo] for private use. There is no time limit on the availability of the free download, provided it is being being used for private purposes only.

This quote from the product page:
[b:2op2gmzo][i:2op2gmzo]"Free Keycode is available for this version permanently! But Free offer cannot be used for commercial usage!" [/i:2op2gmzo][/b:2op2gmzo]

That said, you are quite right about the shortage of good freeware PDF to Word converters so it is a welcome addition to the freeware ranks....even if it is an older version.

Thanks for the post,
Cheers....JIM

Ermm...

The website says
q/
PDF to Word Converter 2.5.3
FREE Offer Expires on Mar. 1, 2010
/q

The key will work forever, as I read it, but the 2.5.3 version can't be upgraded. I suspect the key prevents the upgrade, since it appears to be the same one for everyone.

Hey Ron - Yes, well I admit it is a tad confusing. They start off by saying:[i:2d2ir6tx] "FREE Offer Expires on Mar. 1, 2010".[/i:2d2ir6tx] Then, shortly thereafter they say: [i:2d2ir6tx]"Free Keycode is available for this version permanently![/i:2d2ir6tx]

Those statements are contradictory. How can a free offer 'expire' for something which is permanently available for free? Doesn't make much sense to me!!

Anyway mate, main thing is....it [i:2d2ir6tx]is[/i:2d2ir6tx] available for free, whether that be until 1st March or forever I guess only time will tell.

Cheers....JIM

As an American, I'm too impatient to wait until March 1st. I say we we hunt 'em down and stake'em over an anthill until they explain themselves!

LOL......I go along with that Ron.

I can only guess that it is part of a marketing ploy: headlines like 'Special Offer' and 'Giveaway For Limited Time' would be deemed to have a lot more impact than ...we have an older version which is now available as freeware.

Cheers mate....JIM
