I understand that when Windows 10 is launched it will not have the current W8 feature of SmartFiles, which enable you to have just a place-holder on your PC, representing files linked to your online OneDrive ---thus saving storage space on your HDD / SSD. This space saving is vital to me with my 24GB W8.1 Tablet.
Some equivalent to SmartDrives is planned for later in the year and in the meantime an arrangement involving syncing is apparently going to offered instead. Does anyone know what this will be? With my different Cloud accounts I only want to have syncing upwards to the Cloud, not down to my PC ---- otherwise my Tablet would be instantly swamped.
