Okay, stab in the dark here, but I am at the end of my understanding.
I'm not a slouch at troubleshooting a Mac, but man, I cannot get rid of the weknow.ac virus through any means that the internet has provided. I even followed an entire reddit thread only to get to the bottom with one guy who was me - "I have done all this and it's still there!"
I'm absolutely willing to spend money, it's a very important computer, and also brand new.
It seems like there are so many products out there and half aren't even legit. I have tried all the usual free versions of malware repair (that I know of), and probably some not legit ones in my desperations. All come back clean, but it's still there hijacking my browser.
So my question is, even a paid service, what is a legitimate way to remove malware, specifically, a product that is updated to match the evolving nature of these viruses?
I'm not rich, but I'll pay to get rid of this!
Thanks in advance,
Kay

Kay, have you tried the free Malwarebytes for Mac found at https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac-download/ , Mindblower!
