For anyone fortunate enough to be using OpenDNS and those contemplating such a move, here is a link to an article which will surely be of interest. It's all about a new feature called 'SmartCache' which is a new DNS record handling technology invented by OpenDNS that allows users of its service to access Web sites when they are inaccessible everywhere else on the Internet:-
SmartCache is a pretty cool feature. You do have to turn it on though. It's listed under the Advanced Settings tab once you log in to your account.

Aahhhhh. New cool stuff. Just changed my settings. I haven't experienced an recent outages, but better safe than sorry!
This is one of those things that is difficult to quantify, but I have a lot of trust in Open DNS.
