Has anyone heard about this NEW product (believe it just came out)?

From what I found out, a trial version is available. Cost is NOT shown (not listed anywhere). The North American support team including those who handle the e-store have NO knowledge of this product.

With my renew date less than 15 days (Suite 2010), I'm testing this one out. But, am I wasting my time? Would like local support, Mindblower!

Give it a shot. It's from Kaspersky, so it will provide reliable protection. It is basically Kaspersky AV with some additional features like parental control (already in Win 7), password management, and central management for multiple computers.

[quote:qaoyux9u]With the launch of Kaspersky PURE, Kaspersky Lab has introduced a new class of products that provide a secure and productive digital environment, whatever you use your computer for. Kaspersky PURE combines complete protection against all types of web-borne threats with new, advanced features including extended parental control features, data backup and encryption tools, a password management program and the ability to manage your entire home network or fine tune the security settings of your web browser and operating system from any computer on the network.

[b:qaoyux9u]Kaspersky PURE retains all the features that users of Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Kaspersky Internet Security[/b:qaoyux9u] have come to know and appreciate, including state-of-the-art

Yes Dave, I decided to take PURE on a test drive. Use the link below to check it out (type PURE in the search field) as it might be the next step in a Total Care Package for Electronic Files, Storage, etc... (lots of Bells & Whistles). Right now, the Kaspersky Internet Suite offers the right protection for the average Home/Business user (IMHO), Mindblower!

Always got to take into consideration the resources some these apps use too. Seems to me, the more components or areas of protection these apps offer the more resources they use (which seems quite logical).

I had first hand experience of that with Trend Micro Pc-Cillin. Got 12 months free subs with a new computer (running XP) and renewed for second year. Discovered the software had expanded to the stage where my poor old 512MB RAM couldn't handle the pressure. Installed extra 512MB RAM which certainly helped but did not get back my original slick machine. So, uninstalled Trend Micro, installed free Avast and....there ya go, back to normal!!

I guess in these days of mega RAM that might not be quite so much of a consideration.

I installed the 30 days trial PURE last month& found really nothing special at all.
Added new backup/my Encryption/Password Manager & others like Parental Care, System TuneUp,Virtual Keyborad are from KIS.
PURE didn't even have the registry cleaner which most of the AIO have & is too expensive when compared with KIS.
I think Kaspersky only add this (AIO) version to compete with BD TS, McAfee TP, Norton 360....

I don't know, I prefer to use KIS then this. (& KIS 2011 ......)
