This news is a week old, but I think it's important for everyone here to be made aware of it, just in case you missed it. I posted the news in this article last Friday: [url:33e36m5y]http://itknowledgeexchange.techtarget.com/security-corner/internet-explorer-targeted-by-zero-day-attack/[/url:33e36m5y]:

yes, good to get the word out.

though, i suppose the safest thing to do would be to stop using internet Exploder.

Yes, I think I shall....

Ziggie,

I hope you're kidding! (OK, I know you are)

I haven't touched IE (other that testing the site) since 2007.

One day I was bored, so I fired up a vanilla VM of Windows.

I used Windows to download Firefox, installed it.
I used Firefox to download Chrome, installed it.
I used Chrome to download Safari, installed it.
I used Safari to download Opera, installed it.
I used Opera to download SeaMonkey, installed it.
I used SeaMonkey to find a torrent of Netscape 4, installed it.
I used Netscape to download MSN Exploder, installed it.
I used MSN Exploder to do a yahoo search for web browsers, found Mosaic, couldn't get it to run.

Then I found something else to do, but that was fun for a while.

Wish I had time for fun like that

XP doesn't like Mosaic very much. Too bad, that was my first browser. It ran fine on Windows 3.1/95. I'll have to try it again on one of my old boxes.

Archie, Finger, Gopher...those were the days. Talk about fun. Dialup at 9600 baud, command line FTP, BBSes. God, I'm old...

Ken, I remember those days, though not so well as I was a teenager with better things to do at the time.

I'm not old, but I remember the roots of the Interwebitudes.
