Microchip giant Intel has announced that it will be buying security-software company McAfee Inc. According to a statement issued by Intel, McAfee will continue to operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary, reporting to Intel

I doubt it! I imagine this will find its' way into embedded devices only. I, for one, wouldn't want the responsibility of updating an AV type product on the CPU - one failed update and *BOOM* no PC and no practical recovery method! Not like we have ever seen an update to AV software go bad.
