Hello
Usually I don't do automatic install of any software and stop all add ins. but somehow somewhere i missed and Avast got installed in the system .
I have tried uninstalling it thrice, but it refuses to go away. I have used Revo and Geek. Also hunter mode of Revo. They always show that is gone. But it always pops up. How do I get rid of it? Thanks in advance.
I have win 10.

Hey Shobha,

Try using this removal tool: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility

If that doesn't do the trick let me know and I'll walk you through a manual search and removal process.

Cheers... Jim

Thanks Jim for the prompt reply.
I just tried downloading avastclear.exe. It has downloaded, with the message that it cant be downloaded securely.
What does that mean? should I install?
Thanks again for what must seem silly questions to you.

What is issuing that message, where is it coming from? Can you post a screenshot of the message?

avastclear.exe is portable, it doesn't need installing, just run the downloaded file and follow the prompts.

Not silly questions at all, just need a bit more information.
