My new eBook, "14 Golden Rules of Computer Security" is complete and ready for you to download. Written with the (relatively) non-technical person in mind, the book is packed with proven, practical advice on how to stay safe on the Wild, Wild Web. It's a must-have for every computer owner.

Each of the 14 Golden Rules is being featured here in Dave's Computer Tips newsletter.

Glad you mentioned this on the General Discussion child board. It should be a help to general users. It's remarkable how many aren't familiar with the basics. I hope it does well for you, and for them.

Seems [b:l52zqrp2]thegeek[/b:l52zqrp2] is a bust man, since he forgot to update the fact his [b:l52zqrp2]ebook[/b:l52zqrp2] is ready. Read it and it blew my mind. Very informative and extremely well [i:l52zqrp2]illustrated[/i:l52zqrp2] as well. Covers so many things one can take for granted too. It's an excellent read and re-read. [u:l52zqrp2]Something newbies and geeks can share together[/u:l52zqrp2], since the language is simply without being written for the elementary level.

Take a bow [b:l52zqrp2]thegeek[/b:l52zqrp2], or better yet since you deserve it, Mindblower!

Thank you very much for the kind words, Mindblower. The book is the work of a couple of years of blogging on the subject. The second edition is already in the works.

Joel,

I'm currently revising the ebook to keep it up to date with the current state of security, so took it offline temporarily. I will post here when it is available again.
