It's location, location, location. I recently moved my router a few feet, and to my surprise my upstairs computer lost bandwidth from 67Mbps to 38Mbps. This was according to the Speediest program. I played around, moving that wireless dongle till I was able to reclaim that lose. By simple moving that wireless dongle from being horizontal in a USB hub to being vertical in the computer (a distance of a few inches). I just could not believe this so I ran the Speedtest program several times and moving the dongle just to be sure. So if you come across something which makes no sense, try using silly logic and relocate that wireless dongle or change the orientation, Mindblower!
