I've been using the same mouse for over a tear with no issues until the scrolling feature works intermitently. I've removed the mouse (wireless) and reinstalled to no avail. I've also used several anti-malware programs with no success.
Any ideas would be appreciated

Hi, and welcome to the DCT forum.

I seriously doubt this mouse issue has anything to do with software and is more likely to be a hardware issue ... as in, there is something wrong with the mouse mechanically.

Time to buy a new mouse, methinks.

Hi,

Can you please clarify something:

What is it exactly that starts to freeze and jump about?

I have not been able to put my finger on any one thing that starts the freezing and jumping and it also will not select when you push the button, sometimes when i click on a starting a new activity, or open a new tab, or sometime seemingly nothing will start it and then last for few minutes to days

Sorry but you are not answering my question. I am not asking what starts the jumping and freezes, I need to know what it is that is jumping and freezing.

From your response, I am assuming it's the mouse cursor that is jumping and freezing. Is that correct?

No problem. I assume you've tried a few things. Have a read through the following article which comes up with quite a few possible solutions: FIX: Cursor freezes, jumps or disappears in Windows 10

Let us know how you get on. Hopefully, something in there will help.

Yes, I get the message - the mouse is freezing and/or jumping around. The article I linked to in my previous post addresses that very problem. Did you have a look at that article?
