I've been doing this for years - saw it on "Good Eats" quite a while back and tried it. My husband is a true steak fiend and according to him, it is now the ONLY way to cook a steak. Word of warning, it [i:3hzuw02w]will [/i:3hzuw02w]smoke up your kitchen. But it's sooooo worth it!

That's great to hear! I'm somewhat of a steak lover myself. I've learned to grill a decent steak, but you can't always grill!

What?!?

Any good griller can grill despite the conditions. I've grilled in thunderstorms, blizzards, and even a hail storm once (to be fair, I waited til the hail passed).

I'm going to have to try an oven steak now if it truly tastes that much better.
