I thought that I already had a a WinX HD Video Convertor Deluxe from a past DCT ‘pressie’ as I was helping a friend convert some files on my PC, and somehow I had missed activating a previous converter DCT ‘freebie’.
Searching failed to find same…….checked my email this arvo…..I have just now downloaded the current programme, you are lifesavers extraordinaire.
Will you now please excuse me, a conversion is calling me to undertake.

Sorry to say, but no – you’d need a DVD Riper software for that. Digiarty often giveaway their excellent WinX DVD Ripper Platinum and I always post about it here at DCT – keep an eye out mate.

I downloaded this and tried a conversion only to be told that it would only do five minutes of the conversion if I wished to convert all then I had to purchase the WinX HD Video Convertor Deluxe so not a give away
Keith – My guess is you haven’t activated the software. You need to activate the software using the license code provided and then it will be fully operational.

I have been looking for a program that converts my files from my Humax “Freesat” box (a TV recorder that I can plug a USB stick into and copy recorded programs to)
This creates .ts files, which I normally use “Freemake”, but I have always had trouble copying and converting 4:3 programs (oldies!). They always come out stretched whatever I did.
I tried this converter and it works fantastic!!! REALLY good
I will now dump “freemake”, as their options are somewhat dubious and (great) care is needed not to install all the rubbish that come with it!!
