  1. W moim komputerze obecne mam zainstalowane 2 dyski Seagate 1TB i 500GB oraz podłączony przez adapter dysk SAA (również Seagate-500GB). Profesjonalny dysk USB bardzo by mi się przydał.

  2. Hi Jim,

    A great offer.

I need it, my current Seagate 1TB lost the will to live and even my texpert computer engineer friend tried CPR to no avail.

  3. I have a HomeWorx PVR that I use to timeshift TV programs. Even with turbo USB3 flash drives, full HD recordings have picture breakup. This doesn’t happen with a USB hard drive. I believe this is because flash drives do not have buffers and hard drives do. And, the flash drives may write very slow when memory locations have been previously been written to, because the have to be erased before they can be written to.

3.5 inch hard drive USB drives are big and clunky. 2.5 inch HDs are a good size, but I don’t want to waste any more money trying to find a small drive that will work. If I win the Seagate 1TB USB drive, I can see if it will work.

I could really use a nice large, fat external hard drive. My existing one is showing signs of old age and I am scared of it failing completely.

  5. Seagate of course is one of, if not, the premier hard drive manufactures. Having a Segate USB drive would only enhance my bacup regime. KIt would enable me to store programs and files away from the PC and would increase redundancy and take a load off my main computer’s hard drive. Wonderful product. Thaks for the promotion.

  6. Thanks for the chance to win this drive. I agree that you can’t have enough hard drive space for backups, images, etc. The Seagate drive looks to be a winner. I hope I am too 🙂

  7. Thanks for the chance to win a Seagate external drive.

This would be great for doing image backups.

  8. Thanks DCT Team for another chance to increase your reader’s opportunities and capacities. Seagate is a great brand name and 1TB is a great resource, so here goes one more application from New Zealand.

  9. I’ve been backing up my laptop with an external drive. Recently, something happened to my laptop. I can only partially use it in safe mode, but most programs won’t even run. Well, I thought I’d be okay restoring all my files, being my backups were on an external drive. Surprise, surprise when I found that at the same time, my external, backup drive went kaput! The laptop’s since been fixed, and I’ve backing up to a different external drive, but now I feel that I need to do a backup of the backups on yet another drive. This one would certainly come in handy for that.

  10. Just shut down the old Dell desktop (XP) for ever, and purchased a Toshiba lap top to take it’s place. The back up external drive is almost as old as the Dell, so I have been looking for a new drive for back up purposes, and that Seagate would fill the spot perfectly.
    Timing is perfect. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for this opportunity to win a Seagate External Hard Drive! My external hard drive crashed several weeks ago, despite many efforts to restore the contents – I did get some folders back. Believe it or not, I bookmarked a Seagate External hard drive (I think maybe the same one offered) and have been debating whether or not to order one (I am on a fixed income, so have to use my money wisely).

Thanks to you and the company! Michaeleen

The results of voting show that I had no votes – that wasn’t true – I did vote and I have the comments I made as indication thereof. Earlier the vote tally always showed that I had voted once. Was there an error somewhere?

  12. I purchased 2 Seagate Expansion 1TB drives a few years back. They were the 3.5″ with USB2 and I haven’t had a single problem. This newer version will be quicker and smaller. This will work as an additional drive for my Buffalo NAS since it has a USB3 port for expansion. I have had a very successful track record with Seagate hard drives. The only drives I have that aren’t Seagate are my SSDD’s which are OCZ’s and SanDisk’s.

More, faster, smaller are the best words for hard drives. Free is a good selling point. A Seagate for free is a dream come true. Thanks for the chance to get one.

  13. I could really use this, I had to unplug my Maxtor Personal Storage 3200 160GB USB 2.0 3.5″ External Hard Drive U01E160 (STM301603EHAB01-RK) because I think it’s going to die on me. I have all my music and pictures that I need to save and transfer to another hard drive.

  14. I’ve been relying on system Image discs as backups, and
they have rescued my digital soul more than once.
I would love to rely on this sexy Seagate Expanson as I feel it would simply ensure the recovery process with more authority. Thanks deeply for the opportunity to
    try for one.

Thanks for the offer. The Seagate name is well known for its superior products.
I have a small WD external drive that is full so I have to delete items to put something else on it. It would be great if I won this drive as it would handle all the info I need to back up. Being a senior citizen my backups are limited to Pictures, Documents and Music, so this drive would handle all that.
    Thanks again for the offer.

I retired from full-time university teaching almost 6 years ago, and, in consequence, lost all financial support for my research and writing despite the fact that I remain a very active scholar. I have run out of storage space for the materials I use and cannot justify the out-of-pocket expense of buying an external drive; I have resorted to using DVDs and CD-ROMS — which I have in ovder-abundance — which means a great deal of searching and disk-swapping when I need something that is not on my computer. A terabyte of immediately accessible storage would be a god-send, no, make that a DCT-send, but no less miraculous in its consequences.

    1. Gordon Schochet

PS: I don’t use “social media” (even though I am “on” Facebook and and LinkedIn (more to find and be found) and don’t tweet (there’s already too daily clutter in our lives, and I refuse to add to it), so I’m dependent on the fates to pluck my single entry from all the rest).

Also, in line 5, I meant to write “over-abundance,” not “ovder-abundance.”

Hi Jim,Thank you for the chance to win the Seagate external drive. To be totally honest i only have a 40 gig relic of years gone by,which my brother was going to throw out.Finances do not allow me to buy a good drive.

  18. Hello Jim, this is a great promo! Seagate hard drive is one of the trusted brands in Hard disk arena. 1 terabyte is quite big for ordinary computer users but this is a great help for those software lovers and multimedia enthusiast.

    More power to DCT!
