Ashampoo ZIP Pro 2 is not only a simple ZIP program, it’s an entire suite that features everything you need to compress, extract, send and encrypt your files. ZIP Pro 2 safely handles 60 formats with ease. Multi-core support speeds up archive creation and optional 256-bit encryption provides that extra bit of security. The integrated automatic backup feature supports both local and external storage solutions such as cloud or FTP services. Disc burning is also included. ZIP Pro 2 can create and mount disc images as virtual drives without the need to extract them first. The new integrated Explorer features a classic split view with instant file previews and quick access to all essential ZIP features. Outlook, Word and Excel add-ins provide instant compression and encryption capabilities from each application. The portable edition runs from external hard disks and flash drives without the need for installation. A total of 8 modules cover everything from file compression and encryption to data backups.

Ashampoo’s ample description just about says it all. Ashampoo Zip Pro 2 is definitely way more than just your average archive software, it’s a full software suite incorporating multiple tools and functionality.

  1. Yikes! I do want this software! I read the headline and thought: I have 7-Zip – why do I need anything else. Then I read your description of what Ashampoo Zip Pro 2 does. There are several functions I didn’t realize I needed. I would be very happy if I am one of the 20 lucky winners.

    1. I’m assuming that’s a question Russ?

Comment because… software vendors like to read good things about their software and, when they do, it encourages them to run more giveaways, hopefully through DCT. 🙂

I would like to be able to compare WinRAR which I use now to Ashampoo Zip Pro 2 and see who wins.

  3. I am thoroughly intrigued by some of the novel new features that Ashampoo is embedding into it’s compression utility – or should I say suite. Encryption is new, but for it to also have a Split-view File Explorer is phenomenal. Windows file manager is horrible. I constantly use other utilities that have split views – but they don’t have zip or unzip or unrar built in. I am very curious about how the Built-in Cloud Support operates. And I’m totally jazzed about anything that has a portability feature! I actually have a number of competing compression utilities embedded in my context menu (peazip, 7zip, powerarchiver, winrar) but I’d love to be able to replace them all with Ashampoo’s ZipPro2.

    Thanks!

I own about a dozen products from Ashampoo. Why? Because the applications are easy and straight-forward to use. I’d like to add this piece of software to my collection.

  7. Another fantastic program from the company Ashampoo, which courtesy and commitment of the portal davescomputertips. com you can get. I’d like to win this program because I have already bought a lot of ashampoo programs. However, other participants in this fun I wish you all the best and good luck and thank you very much to the organizers.

  8. Hello, thanks for another great giveaway, using Ashampoo software every day of my life, its great, and Zip Pro 2 has many new awesome features, like the new 2 pane file manager, portable feature is a must have so i can have my favorite compressor everytime at hand, good luck to all,

I’ve read all of the above thrice now, but still couldn’t find any notice about when the contest would be closed, only references to “after the contest ends”; after getting the newsletter, I thought it’d be open something like 1-2 weeks, or at least a few days, so left it to return today and enter — and found that “this contest expired”… :-((

    1. So sorry Alexander. There is usually a countdown displaying days and hours left until the giveaway expires.

This giveaway doesn’t actually expire until 12.01 Monday 21st November. Seems the countdown mechanism has had a crack up. I’ll get it fixed asap.

Okay, it was a quick fix. The countdown is back working and you can now enter the giveaway.

      Apologies again.

As the supercalculator said, “Yes, now there is!”…

Thanks for the lightning-fast reply and solution!

Not being a Facebook/Twitter user, I guess one entry is all I can get (I feel that all this “‘like’ us and get something as a kickback” trend demeans them all even more — but, when you know that anyone can buy ‘likes’ in any desired quantity, that’s no surprise, anyway).

I like Ashampoo programs, but they tend to ‘go overboard’ as the versions pile up — but, surprisingly, this one doesn’t seem to offer any search functions, which would seem a ‘natural’ in such a suite, IMHO.

        1. We agree 100% regarding social media requirements, that’s why we never have and never will make it compulsory.

That said, we gain virtually no benefit whatsoever from running these giveaways and they do involve a heck of a lot of work. So, we really appreciate when people do make the effort to like or share.

        2. Alexander Yudenitsch

Well, besides not being in Facebook/Twitter/etc., there’s the aspect I mentioned earlier: What would you ‘like’: The company (in this case, Ashampoo)? The product? But, if you’re ‘liking’ as part of a promotion to get a copy of the product, how can you say you “like” it already (besides expectations from the description given)? And, if you’ve never used any of the company’s products before, how can you say you “like” it (besides the fact that they’re willing to give away a few copies of the product, in the hopes it will lead to more sales)?

As for the promoters of the giveaway (in this case, DCT & you), those I WOULD ‘like’, if I was into social media… Thanks again for all your efforts and attention!

  10. Wow, this is a very comprehensive package. Ashampoo does it again, they do produce some excellent software. Well worth winning. I’m keeping my fingers crossed on this one.
