For your chance to win one of these terrific flash drives absolutely free, all you need do is enter the giveaway below.

I work a lot with videos and with clients’ machines so I have quite a few different flash drives on hand – all sorts of capacities and brands, both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 – and these Sandisk Extremes are by far and away the quickest of the lot.

NOTE: The Sandisk Extreme USB 3.0 flash drive is backwards compatible with USB 2.0. I’ve used this flash drive with a USB 2.0 system and the speed is still remarkable.

The Sandisk Extreme is a little more expensive than your run-of-the-mill flash drives so it took me a while before I finally coughed up the additional moolah and purchased one. Now, I would not buy any other.

I got the surprise of my life when first transferring a heap of 1GB video files over to the Sandisk Extreme and saw the progress bar just whizzing across at a rate of knots. With advertized transfer rates of up to 245MB/s they really are very quick, very quick indeed.

I own two different versions of san disk one a 64GB and a 4 GB. They are really neat to use to transfer files from one PC to another. Could always use another one. Daniel.

I often do transferring of lots of big software and data files by hand from computer to computer, especially at home between different types of computers and OSes, so really need and would appreciate a fairly large, high spped flash drive.

I entered the contest with my email, said I got 1 entry. I then tweeted (https://twitter.com/CharlieCopelan7/status/583973167623905280 ) and shared publicly on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/charlie.copeland.9/posts/889441301120637 ) and it still says I have only 1 entry. I did both the shares using your provided buttons. What am I doing wrong?

  Not sure what’s going on Charlie. I checked your status and it’s showing only one entry even though you’ve obviously shared and tweeted.
  
  I double checked the settings and everything appears to be as it should. Dave is away at the moment and this is his area of expertise. He’s due back some time over the weekend so I’ll make sure he looks into it asap.

Expensive? HA! I remember my first 50MB drive for my Macintosh Plus. About $800 as I recall but life was good with it, until I found out there was no upward compatibility. 32GB – expensive? Indeed.

I have used many Sandisk products over the years, and have come to rely on them over and over again. Would love to have this size of flash drive. Will come in very handy.

I would like to win a Sandisk Extreme 32GB CZ80 USB 3.0 flash drive, and having a couple of Sandisk 8GB with other 4 GB USB products, I would like to have just a few USB’s with greater capacity when assisting clients with problems.

I have two 16GB Extremes that I use to time-shift TV programs. They really are fast. 16G is a little small, though. 32G would do nicely! Thanks for the opportunity.

Nice giveaway, thanks. Most Sandisk flashkey are bundled with an encryption tools, quite convenient, a rebranded version of EncryptStick I think.

Thanks Jim for the contest. I use USBs a lot to transfer data to/fro between PCs, as well as storing and carrying data with me. Hope to win this Easter present.

It is amazing how many USB3 cheap flash drives have slower read and write speeds then some USB2 sticks. You really have to do your homework.

My first pen drive was a Sandisk (64MB – US$99.99). It has a ‘write protect’ switch (and still works fine!).

Hi,
I never had a problem with some Sandisk Flash Drives I have. My only complaint about them is their fragility of plastic elements during handling .
In this regard the Sandisk Extreme seems more solid.
I am thus interested… provided that the contest is accessible to all no matter where they live !??
