Create Clean Links With Link Cleaner

Many of you will already be aware of URL shorteners, such as TinyURL and Bitly, which extract a lot of the junk from URLs. However, Link Cleaner is a different sort of URL shortener in that it not only extracts all tracking, affiliate, and other subsidiary junk but, at the same time, retains the domain name.

  1. Hadn’t heard of this one either, Jim. You always bring up something fresh & new. Thank you for this.

  2. I tried Link Cleaner on my Amazon account. Used the pasted link and low and behold, have to login each time and the tracking is restored. My question is slightly off topic, but will using browser extensions block trackers, Mindblower!

    1. Hey MB,

Something like Link Cleaner will not work well for login purposes.

Yes, anti-tracking browser extensions, such as Privacy Badger, will block trackers. That is their primary function.

  3. Yes thank you Jim for pointing out the obvious. Should of read your Bottom Line comments prior to trying it out, Mindblower!
