Canon Printer Error 1485

I recently bought some ink for my printer. I insert the cartridges and get Error 1485. I removed them and then reinserted them a couple of times. I still get the same error.

An online search indicates the cartridges may be unsupported. They are original Canons, and I buy them from the same online source. I’ve never had an issue with them.

I eventually realized what happened. I currently have a Canon TR4720 printer. I bought it because my Canon MG2525 would not print full-page, borderless photos on 8×11 glossy paper. The TR4720 is also wireless.

I was going to send my MG2525 to the recycle bin, but it’s now back in service because I accidentally bought the wrong printer cartridges. My TR4720 takes cartridges PG-275 (black) and CL-276 (colour), but I purchased PG-245 (black) and CL-246 (colour) for the MG2525.

Make sure to purchase the right cartridges. If you’re sure you have the proper ones but you’re still getting the same error, unplug the power from the printer for about 60 seconds. Then plug it in and see what happens.
