ASCOMP Secure PDF Overview & Giveaway

ASCOMP Secure PDF

Winners Announced!

ASCOMP has kindly offered our readers a chance to win one of five licenses for their Secure PDF software. These licenses are currently valued at $19.90 (US) but by entering this contest, you get a chance to win a copy for free!

“The PDF format is used worldwide to distribute graphically processed documents. However, editing the documents is usually associated with high costs because good PDF editors are quite expensive. The cheaper alternatives on the other hand, lack the important functions to make PDFs secure, for example by encrypting, digitally signing or adding watermarks.” ~ ASCOMP

The software is very useful in my yearly correspondence with my accountant, lawyer and other people who require signatures on documents.

My first was a Tandy 1000 and was introduced to BASIC. Had started a business and needed to keep records. Sept 1986 after retiring from one company and starting my own company.
Has been a hobby ever since. Now 84 years old and helping people with the computers at the old folks home. I use to use Teamviewer to help people but since now I am on a commercial wifi paid for by the company running the home, they were convinced that I was using the program commercially and cut me off. I was now going to try the Microsoft one but my computer is not a pro. I hate to buy the pro and put it in here and have been looking at a linux programs. Are you familiar with Linux programs?

    1. Richard Pedersen

Sorry, Jerry, I know nothing to speak of regarding Linux although I hear Linux Mint is a good place to start. Apparently, it provides an environment that is supposed to be comfortable for Windows transplants.

  3. I need to be able to edit PDF files and Adobe products are unreasonably expensive.

      Hi Mike,

I wouldn’t install an Adobe PDF product on my computer for any amount of money.
There are several perfectly good free alternatives out there,
      Richard
