Windows 11 Official ISOs Now Available To Download

Microsoft has finally made Windows 11 ISOs available to download allowing users to perform clean installs of the new operating system. NOTE: You still need to be a registered Insider in order to download an ISO.

Previously, Windows 11 Preview has only been available to download and install from within the Insider Program but now, any registered Insider can download a Windows 11 ISO which can be used to perform a clean installation or an in-place upgrade.

How To Download Windows 11 ISOs

To download a Windows 11 ISO, you need to either be an existing Insider member or sign up to join the Windows Insider Program.

After joining, you can go to the Windows Insider Preview Downloads page and select the Windows version you want to download. Currently, there are Windows 11 ISOs available for the Dev and Beta channel which are the same builds:

  • Dev Channel: This is more suited for advanced users. Dev Channel users will receive builds earliest in a development cycle containing the latest work-in-progress code. These builds will have rough edges and some instability
  • Beta Channel: These are more reliable releases. Beta Channel users can check out upcoming Windows 11 features while still getting relatively reliable updates that are validated by Microsoft

Select the ISO and then click the Confirm button. Next, select a language from the dropdown menu and click the Confirm button. Now you’ll be presented with a download link that’s good for 24 hours.

Once you’ve downloaded the ISO, you can create a bootable USB flash drive or disc and then use the bootable media to perform a clean installation or in-place upgrade.

PLEASE NOTE: These are very early builds and by no means risk-free. They should only be installed on test systems and NOT on your primary PC.
