Win11 Quick Tip – Create Task Manager Shortcut

It’s no secret that Microsoft deprecated quite a few options/settings in Windows 11 and users have not been happy with the results. One of the most complained about missing options is the ability to access Task Manager via the Taskbar’s right-click context menu. However, considering Task Manager remains accessible via the Start button right-click context menu, this is one complaint I find difficult to fathom — two clicks to access Task Manager in either scenario.

That said, if you’d prefer one-click access to Task Manager, it is very simple to set up.
Degree of difficulty — very easy. Time to complete — around 20 seconds.

How To Pin Task Manager Shortcut To Taskbar

  • Open Task Manager — either by right-clicking the Start button and choosing Task Manager from the menu or using the keyboard combination CTRL+SHIFT+ ESC
  • When Task Manager opens, its icon will appear on the Taskbar
  • Right-click on the Task Manager icon and select Pin to taskbar

That’s all there is to it folks. Tips don’t come much quicker than that. 🙂
