Want To Look Like A Simpsons Character?

Back in 2007, “The Simpsons Movie” came out and Burger King sponsored a website called “SimpsonizeMe.com” (the site is no longer active). It allowed you to upload your picture to turn you into a Simpsons character. I tried it once but the result, I didn’t recognize myself. Sorry, I don’t have a copy of the result. So for reasons beyond my understanding, the idea stuck in my head, and I decided to try this again.

I found this site called Photo Cartoon.

Choose the photo you want to “Simpsonize” by clicking on the “Choose File” button. Then click on the “CARTOONIZE ONLINE” button.

The result, in my case, is not very impressive. Besides, I came here to be a Simpson. To do this, you have to look at the menu bar on the left-hand side of the page.

Right now you see the “Simpsons” and “Simpsons2” options showing. Scrolling up and down this bar gives you a few more options. So I tried the one labeled “Simpsons” by clicking on it.

Every time you change the effect by clicking one of these options, you’ll get a little popup toward the top asking if you want to “Apply this effect?” Click OK.

Here is the result. Still not me.

The “Simpsons2” filter does the same thing but puts you in a frame.

So, I decided to try a few of the other filters.

Me, according to “Disney“:

By the way, when you want to download the final result, click on the “Download” button under your picture. You’ll be taken to another page, then again click on the “Download” button under your picture.

Me, according to “Barbie“:

The common theme here is that I look better in a cartoon than in real life. 🙂 Does Anybody know where I can grab a dimensional portal to the cartoon world?

Me, according to “Cartoon 2D”. I can almost see myself in this one.

You may notice the watermark “photocartoon.net” on the pictures. The only way to get rid of this is to pay for it. Clicking on the “REMOVE WATERMARK” button takes you to their product pay site.

They also have a desktop version of their program. It’s a trial. It offers more options like “Disney3D”. This one looks somewhat like me. I think. What do you think?

With this trial version, you can only save your photo in “Standard Resolution” not “High”. And the watermark is way worse on the free version. Hint: You could screenshot the final result without the watermark. Just saying…

So, have you ever Simpsonized yourself? Let us know in the comments.
