Digiarty has offered our DCT readers a chance to win one of 10 licenses for their VideoProc software. These one-year licenses are currently valued at $29.95 (US) each. There are also lifetime licenses and family licenses available at their website. You can read more about it at the link provided above.
Video processing, especially 4K resolution based post-processing is a CPU-consuming and complex workflow, from demultiplex, decompressing, editing, re-arranging, integrating to encoding. VideoProc comes to maximally accelerate the whole process by making full use of Level-3 GPU Acceleration. Without steep learning curve, you can enjoy the easy and streamlined solutions to cut a video, re-sequence and merge clips, reduce noise, stabilize GoPro footages, convert video audio formats, improve video quality, download / record videos and more. ~ Digiarty
This giveaway contest is running now and will end at midnight on Thursday, October 3, 2019.
VideoProc – An All-In-One Video Processing Tool
This unassuming little program really is a handy toolbox, with four must-have tools packed under its hood.
- Video processing -Edit, convert, trim, etc
- DVD Ripper – Digitise DVDs
- Video Downloader – Download videos from YouTube, Vimeo, etc
- Screen Recorder- Capture your desktop as a screenshot or video
Video Processing
If you’ve recorded a video and you want to quickly trim a few scenes, or if you need to convert that video from say, .avi to the more commonly used .mp4 format, this is a very fast and simple program to achieve just that. Load the video in the program and then select what you need to do – add an effect, crop the picture, add a watermark and/or subtitle, or simply cut parts out of the clip. I tested a few game recordings and each of these functions worked flawlessly and very quickly, added to which, the software uses your GPU to encode, as can be seen by the Task Manager performance report below.
Digitise DVDs
Digitize DVDs to MP4, AVI, multi-track MKV, MP3, ISO image… Convert and edit DVDs to fit iPhone, iPad, Android, YouTube, etc. 6 DVD Backup options to deliver original quality and fast speed.
I very rarely use DVDs today and in fact, I’ve removed the DVD devices from both of my main PCs to free up SATA ports. However, I still use external DVD units when I need to and with VideoProc, I was able to rip a two-hour film (720 x 576) to MP4 in less than twenty minutes, ending up with a perfect quality 2GB MP4 of one of my favourite films.
I’ve yet to try the other DVD functions such as conversion to ISO, but I’m satisfied that they will perform equally well.
Video Downloader
There are hundreds of ways to download Internet videos, but it certainly makes life simpler if you have all your video tools in one place and VideoProc handles this aspect with ease.
I don’t usually download many videos, but VideoProc makes the whole process painless and very simple. Just copy and paste the video URL, the program analyses the video and then you download it– simple!
Video downloader also works flawlessly with 4K videos which is a nice surprise, since many video download extensions only allow a maximum resolution of 720p. I downloaded a 4K (3840 x 2160) Vimeo video in about two minutes!
Screen Recorder
I use numerous screen recorders and I must say that VideoProc’s handy little program does exactly what you need for recording your desktop, especially if you need to make a presentation. Particularly useful is webcam integration, which allows you to add a webcam overlay to your video capture, with the ability to crop the webcam picture-in-picture (PIP) to any part of the screen that you wish. You can also resize the PIP.
All in all, VideoProc is a very well designed and easy to use program with a host of useful features packed into one small software suite. In fact, the more I use it, the more I discover and I’m sure I’ll use all its features when I begin to put more effort into my YouTube channel, for which it’s a must-have.
I highly recommend VideoProc to anyone who works with video and I’m delighted to have it in my toolbox!

Hi Marc. Just a quick note for those interested in this software. It is CPU consuming (as mentioned – thought it might not get noticed). Almost useless when the CPU speed is less than 3.5 GHz. So, for fair results, a min of an Intel i5. Video processing demands CPU speeds (like that associated with gaming computers), Mindblower!
I don’t entirely agree with your assessment, Mindblower.
At least from my usage anyway, which shows that the GPU takes most of the workload in a 23% CPU 85% GPU ratio.
You are a gamer Marc, so naturally you own a separate graphic card with plenty of power. Users who purchase a motherboard with everything built-in (like me whose units are several years old), for their general needs may find the software finds little to no hardware which can be used, Mindblower!
I have a DVD ripper and a video converter, but that combination doesn’t come close to what VideoProc offers. I’d love to give it a try.
I bought a ‘lifetime’ license to their premium product. I bought a new computer, reinstalled Windows on the old one before selling it and installed their software on the new one. I used the license I was sent to activate it. It didn’t work so I sent an email to their support email address. No response whatsoever. However, I’m not too worried, it didn’t work very well anyway so I’ve written it off as useless.
Will, was/is your “lifetime license to their premium product” for one or more devices? If for one, this explains why it did not activate. As for working properly, it depends on the hardware you have on your computer. This software replies on CPU and GPU power. Check you options to see what VideoProc finds.
I am constantly receiving updates for both WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe (their older software) and VideoProc. I am surprised your emails are going unanswered, Mindblower!
Thanks for your response Mindblower and sorry to be slow in replying. What I bought was as follows: WinX DVD Ripper Platinum (Lifetime License for 1 PC) and of course I understand it is for one computer only. However, one would think there is a way to get it working on a new computer but no luck so far and no answer to my request for help to get it registered on another one.
As far as the way it works, there is nothing I could discover on their site as to minimum hardware requirements and in any case my computer was a Surface Pro with i5 CPU and it ran quite OK but the result of ripping a music DVD was quite useless and unplayable. I now have a Surface Pro6 and thought I’d give it another try – I will email then again and see what the result is.
I also have a lifetime license to the WinX video suite. When switching from one computer to another, make sure to go to all programs that are licensed for a single computer on the old machine are deactivated before adding to the new one. Shouldn’t have a problem then.
I learned this the hard way but WinX responded and helped me out the first time. Also, ensure that the license keys are stored in a file that is easily found and backed up in the event that they are needed.
Thanks Mark, I did uninstall it from the old computer and reinstalled Windows so that should not be the problem.
The software seemingly worked in its trial version. Once purchased, the deshake function did not work on any videos. Error logs, hardware logs and general logs sent to these people together with the video has not resulted in any solutions. Waiting for them to confirm a refund is being processed via their “30 day guarantee” altho they balk at returning your money. I would avoid this product and this company. Customer service is terrible.
