Apple released iOS 5.1.1 this week. According to Apple’s release notes, the following issues were addressed with this release:
— Improved reliability of using HDR option for photos taken using the Lock Screen shortcut.
— Bug fixes for issues that could prevent the new iPad from switching between 2G and 3G networks.
— Bug fixes that affected AirPlay video playback in some situations.
— Improved reliability for syncing Safari bookmarks and Reading List.
— Fixed an issue where ‘Unable to purchase’ alert could be displayed after successful purchase.
After reading through the Apple Support Forum, it seems like the least pervasive course of action is to let my iPhone battery drain entirely and then fully charge it. The most pervasive is to do a restore via iTunes. Hopefully, it won’t come to that.
This is actually the first problem that I have had with an iOS update. I have read about people experiencing issues with prior releases but, fortunately, I have had no issue until now.
